The National Student Show & Conference is the largest competition and conference in the nation for visual communications students. The event is a great opportunity for students to get their work seen as well as attend lectures and panel discussions, receive feedback on their portfolios, and, of course, compete for scholarship and prize monies.
Since the event’s inception 13 years ago, we’ve designed the event website, poster, invites, programs, awards, banners and signage, and T-shirts every year. While the event theme changes each year, the brand messaging and goals stay the same.
The event posters, mailed to schools across the nation, serve as the call for entries and anchor for the visual identity for each of the last 13 years. It’s a labor of love for our studio, but one we’re proud to continue to take on.
And our managing principal, Jeff Barfoot, is especially proud. As one of the cofounders of the event, he continues to support the event year after year, as a consultant to each year’s chairperson, and as MC of the show. In fact, the event committee surprised and honored him by naming an award after him at the 10th annual show – the “best concept” award is now the “Jeff Barfoot” award.
